Darwin Drones has created this privacy policy to demonstrate its commitment to privacy and data protection. This policy will disclose information about how we collect and process data to: 

  1. https://eyesee-drone.com – the company’s website 
  2. https://eyesee-cloud.com – the platform that is used to  create missions and collect flight data as well as the EYESEE app that is used to administer the flight of the drone.  

All are assets licensed or owned by Darwin Drones SAS, and operated by Darwin Drones SAS.  

1. Where do we collect data and who is affected?  

Darwin Drones collects data mainly from our websites, but also through direct contact with a person (email, phone, in person at an event, etc.). The data collected is of the order of two distinct categories: data for commercial purposes, retrieved on our website or following an event and processed by our CRM and data related to our technical platforms, necessary for the proper functioning of our solution.  

Data for commercial purposes collected: contact details of our prospects and commercial contacts; Our partners 

Technical data: user data (email, first name, last name) & warehouse data (location coding, SSCC pallet number, warehouse name, company name, address, time zone, acquisition rules, mapping) recorded on the EYESEE Cloud; Flight mission data (locations & codes found, declared points of interest, flight time, failsafes, parameters) on EYESEE App.  

Examples where Darwin Drones collects data:  

  • When you fill out a form on one of our websites 
  • When you register on the EYESEE Cloud platform 
  • When you use the EYESEE App during an inventory mission 
  • When you use the EYESEE App after an inventory mission (uploading data to EYESEE Cloud)

  • When you create an assignment on the EYESEE Cloud platform 

 2. What data is collected? 

Darwin Drones only collects the personal data required to properly manage customer relationships and technical data in order to: 

  • Responding to the need for inventory
  • Improve our drone user experience and technical support (see Part 3 for more information on why this data is collected).  

Personal data

Darwin Drones collects the following personal data about its contacts: name, surname, company name, job title, email address, company postal address, telephone number and language.  

Technical Data  

IP address 

When you access our websites, Darwin Drones collects the IP addresses of the computer you use to browse those websites. If this address is “static” or fixed, Darwin Drones may, in certain circumstances, identify you. As a result, this type of information may be considered personal data.  

Cookies 

Our websites send “cookies” to your computer in order to provide you with better service and more personalized information when you return to the sites. A cookie is a small piece of data that can be sent by our sites to your browser and is stored on your hard drive. You can set most browsers to notify you when a cookie is being sent and refuse to receive it. Cookies can also be deactivated or deleted upon receipt. 

Below is a list of the different cookies used and their purpose:  

  • YouTube : To allow you to view our videos, to count the number of views and to analyze your preferences in terms of video content

  • Hubspot : To improve your experience on our site, personalize content, analyze site usage, and facilitate our marketing efforts, while respecting your privacy 

You have the option to change your wishes regarding the use of cookies at any time. You can configure your internet browser to decide whether you accept or reject cookies being stored on your device. This can be done either systematically or depending on the issuer. You also have the option of configuring your internet browser so that it occasionally offers you the option of accepting or rejecting cookies, before they are saved on your device.  

The storage of a cookie on your device is subject to the will of the user. This can be changed free of charge and at any time, by configuring your browser software. If you have configured your browser software to accept the storage of cookies on your device, they will be temporarily stored in a dedicated space on your device. In accordance with European legislation, these cookies are valid for 13 months. In addition, they will only be readable by their transmitter.

EYESEE Cloud & EYESEE App  

The data collected by the EYESEE App is uploaded to the EYESEE Cloud at the end of a mission thanks to an action by the operator.  

The data stored on EYESEE Cloud is as follows:  

  • The first name, last name, email address and password of each user of the application 
  • Potential names and addresses of repositories entered by users 
  • Information related to the layout of the warehouse (otherwise known as mapping: codification of locations, height of racks, aisle width, number of locations per rack, etc.) This information is completed when the warehouse faces are created. 
  • Missions programmed and those already carried out by the drone  
  • Photos of the pallets taken during the mission 
  • Barcodes from scanned pallets  

2. Why do we collect this data?  

General purposes of data collection across all platforms 

Darwin Drones collects the data specified in Part 2 for the reasons explained below, and with the ultimate goal of providing the best user experience. We only collect the data required to properly manage customer relations and the technical data necessary to improve the user experience of our websites as well as to ensure the correct use of the EYESEE inventory drone.  

To be able to contact the users of our products 

When a company purchases or leases the EYESEE inventory solution, we collect personal data (as specified in Part 2) from users. This data is used to contact users when necessary regarding product updates and other information related to their purchase/rental. They are also used to create a user account on the EYESEE Cloud & EYESEE App platform, where users can manage, administer and retrieve data related to the various inventory missions.  

The processing of data in this respect is in accordance with Article 6.1.B of the General Data Protection Regulation (2018).  

To be able to contact sales prospects 

Darwin Drones needs personal data from its business prospects to properly manage the sales process. This data is used to contact prospects to discuss the contract and other information and to provide them with the relevant services.  

The processing of data in this respect is in accordance with Article 6.1.B of the General Data Protection Regulation (2018).  

If the business prospect enters our database through subscribing to our marketing information mailing list, their personal information will also be required. This information will be used to contact the prospect as well as to assign them a mailing list based on their interests.  

The processing of data in this respect is in accordance with Article 6.1.A of the General Data Protection Regulation (2018), if the prospect has actively given consent.  

To respond to requests from website users 

When a user requests information from us, via a request or download form on one of our websites, Darwin Drones collects personal data from the user in order to be able to follow up on their request. In order to properly respond to their request, we need contact information as well as the name of the company and the country (or language). This information allows us to personalize our response with relevant information based on their company, industry, location and to provide them with useful information from the first contact.  

The processing of data in this respect is in accordance with Article 6.1.B of the General Data Protection Regulation (2018).  

To understand customer needs and to improve the customer experience 

Darwin Drones uses anonymous technical data (as described in Part 2) in order to provide you with more personalised information when you return to the websites and to track the use of those websites. By tracking the use of our websites, we can better understand what users are looking for and what they are interested in when they visit them. This information allows us to optimize our websites to make it easier for users to find what they are looking for. It also allows us to improve and expand our offering to meet customer needs.  

To improve the website experience 

Darwin Drones uses technical data to ensure that our services function properly and to diagnose existing and potential problems with our servers. For most of our websites, this information remains anonymous. However, for the EYESEE Cloud (www.eyesee-cloud.com) & EYESEE App platforms, this information is linked to a user or company account in order to allow us to solve problems that our customers may encounter and to properly execute the assignments.  

Specific purposes of the data collected on the website 

For the contact form, recruitment form 

The data collected allows us to contact the person who has communicated their data by email or telephone according to their consent. The request usually results in the sending of a commercial proposal, in accordance with the request made by the user. Thus, by checking the box “I agree to be contacted by email” or the box “I agree to be contacted by phone”, you authorize our team to contact you. 

Agreeing to be contacted by email also constitutes subscribing to our newsletter. Our newsletters are sent by Hubspot, which therefore has a backup of your email address. Your email address will be kept until you unsubscribe from our list. To exercise your right to unsubscribe, you can click on the link at the bottom of each of our newsletter emails. 

After submitting the form, the data provided is sent to us by email, then entered into our customer relationship management software called CRM.  

The data can be accessed from our company’s management and employees who are authorised to contact you by email or telephone.  

For the newsletter 

Our newsletters are sent by Hubspot, which therefore has a backup of your email address. Your email address will be kept until you unsubscribe from our list. To exercise your right to unsubscribe, you can click on the link at the bottom of each of our newsletter emails. 

— For the eligibility form 

The data collected through the online eligibility form is used to assess the eligibility of the described warehouse for the use of the EYESEE drone inventory solution.  

Once the form is submitted, the data is stored on the Hubspot CRM and generates an internal notification from the sales and technical department. Then, a communication is made to the email and/or contact phone entered in the form to propose a commercial appointment if eligibility is confirmed, a request for additional information if necessary or a notification of ineligibility of the deposit. 

This data is accessible by the sales and technical team through the Hubspot CRM. 

3. How is the data stored ? 

Darwin Drones is committed to protecting customer data. Various security measures are put in place to ensure the protection of your personal data, including the encryption of servers and the use of highly secure passwords for access to software and devices that may access your data. 

Personal data  

The personal data collected by Darwin Drones regarding business contacts is stored in the Hubspot CRM business database (CRM) in its data centers in the European Union. Hubspot offers cloud-based solutions that help companies manage their business processes. From its services, we use Hubspot CRM to host our commercial database & manage our email campaigns. Hubspot is committed to protecting the data stored in our services. The company has several measures in place to ensure physical, network, process, and infrastructure security. Usage Data 

Usage data includes all the data created for the smooth running of the flight mission (user account, depot, mapping, mission, etc.). They concern all data relating to the use of EYESEE Cloud & EYESEE App.   

This data is stored on Amazon Web Service (AWS) S3’s European servers, the management and security of which can be found here:  https://aws.amazon.com/fr/s3/security/  

The EYESEE App data is manually transmitted by a voluntary action of the user from his tablet to the EYESEE Cloud and is stored under the same conditions.

5. Disclosure to third parties 

The www.eyesee-drone.com website http://www.eyesee-drone.com/ may contain links to third-party websites. Darwin Drones is not responsible in any way for the privacy practices of these sites or their content. 

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties. This claim, however, does not apply to trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website or conducting our business, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.  

In addition, despite our commitment not to pass on your personal information to third parties, Darwin Drones reserves the right to disclose such information upon request by a lawful authority or in good faith considering that such action is required to comply with any applicable law or regulation or to intervene, in extreme circumstances,  for the purpose of protecting the personal safety, rights and property of users of the Sites, Darwin Drones or the public.
